Sophie Boutros / Solitaire
After a year at medical school, Sophie dropped out and enrolled at ALBA's newly formed Audiovisual Department. Upon graduating with a Bachelors, she began her career as a TV director at Future TV and then Dubai TV.
Alongside her full-time TV job, she produced music clips for her sister, the acclaimed singer Julia Butrous, and other A-listers.
In 2013, along with Solitaire's co-writer, Nadia Eliewat, they applied and got into the Torino Film Lab Interchange program.
Sophie works full-time as the Manager of Student Affairs and Communication at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai, where she also teaches film.
