Born in Palestine in 1988, Ameen Nayfeh spent his formative years moving between both Jordan and Palestine.

Despite an early interest in filmmaking, he went to school to study nursing, and graduated from Al-Quds University in East Jerusalem in 2010. A couple of years later, following his passion of telling authentic stories from the region, he switched to film and got an MFA from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Jordan.

He has written, produced, and directed several award-winning shorts, and has been freelancing for film and TV production houses for the past 6 years. His acclaimed works include The Eid Gift (2012), Suspended Time (2014), and The Crossing (2017). His first feature, 200 Meters debuted at the Giornate degli Autori section of the 77th Venice International Film Festival in 2020.
