Swedish-Egyptian director Tarik Saleh was born in Stockholm in 1972.
His varied career saw him as an animator, a publisher, a journalist and a film director. In 1990, he was one of Sweden's most prominent graffiti artists.
He and his producer, Kristina Åberg, are two of the founders of the production company Atmo.
Saleh directed and co-wrote Metropia (2009 Venice International Film Festival), featuring Vincent Gallo, Juliette Lewis, and Stellan Skarsgård, He co- directed the award-winning documentary, Gitmo, and the thriller, Tommy (2014).
He also produced the music video I Follow Rivers for Lykke Li, which has garnered nearly 60 million YouTube views.
