Ahmad Abdalla/Ext. Night
Ahmed started out as a music student in Cairo in the 1990s. In 1999, he shifted gears and began taking jobs on films, first as an editor, eventually doubling as both a visual effects supervisor and credits designer.
His premier feature, Heliopolis (2009) was one of the first independent Egyptian films to be released theatrically in Egypt. He followed it by Microphone [ANA 2012] which was selected among the best 100 Arabic films in history by the Dubai International Film Festival.
He wrote and directed Rags & Tatters in 2013 and Decor in 2014.
